Ducote Endorses Petrol Eyewear

LONG BEACH, Calif., Apr. 22, 2009 — Chapman Ducote and Petrol Eyewear have entered into an endorsement/sponsorship agreement.  After the initial meeting, both Ducote and Petrol were happy to have struck a deal, on the spot.  "I know a quality product when I see one, and the second I saw Petrol's line of sunglasses, I knew it was something that I would be proud to represent," said Chapman Ducote of Intersport Racing. Chapman Ducote, with years of the American Le Mans Series and the Rolex Grand-Am Series racing under his belt, began his racing career in 1994 in Formula cars in the Skip Barber Race Series. Over the years Ducote has participated in many races and has ascended the podium several times. Ducote finished 3rd in the GT1 championship of the America Le Mans Series in 2008, driving a GT1 Aston Martin.  He currently races in the top class of the series in a LMP1 Lola prototype. 

Ducote finished third in the P1 class at this year's Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, and wore his Petrol sunglasses on the podium.  “They make great champagne blockers too,” said Ducote jokingly. “I was able to keep my eyes open and hose the other drivers down!”
